Before you buy a bedspread measure your mattress. The bedspread must be bigger then the mattress by 50-60 cm so it will hang down perfectly. The second method will suit those who enjoys the color terseness however curtains and bedspread of the same color might seem too boring. In this case an additional fabric-companion will be good for you.

Choosing this design you should follow the main rule:

• There should be preferably three principal colors (two neutral colors and a contrast one).

As the third option you can use for curtains one of the colors presented in the bed decoration. The solution is universal and harmonious so it will not fail in any style. Even the smallest detail in the decoration of the bed which matches with the color of curtains will make the interior more balanced.

• Following the rule of this approach the fabric texture of curtains and bedspread should be similar.

• According to the second rule the style of bedspread and curtains should be similar and match the bedroom style in general. For example, if your cover has thingies, then the curtains design should include this element as well; if the bedspread is more of an austere style, then curtains should not have tails and drapes.

The fourth way to design your bedroom is combination of the contrasting curtains and bedspread. For example, the bed is decorated in fair cold tones and curtains of deep-purple color on the background. Thanks to this combination the bedroom becomes expressive. The colors for the contrast are selected according to the color spectrum; the colors that are located opposite each other in the spectrum are the colors-antagonists. For example, light green and brown, orange and purple, etc.

These are some ways to create a well balanced design for your bedroom. Do not forget to replace curtains and bedspreads from time to time, change their style and the decor. This is a good way not to get bored with your bedroom interior!
