Bedspreads & comforters

Bed is the most important element of any bedroom. And the bedspread on it sets the mood of the room.

The more splendid is the bedspread the richer and more lavish is the bedroom.

When choosing a bedspread one should take into account the tone of the wallpaper, furniture and most importantly the bedspread should completely match the curtains. For small bedrooms especially important to choose a bedspread to match the walls and floor otherwise the bed will look very cumbrous.

If your bedroom is cool then choose a bedspread of warmer colors such as yellow, pink, peach, beige, etc. You should not buy bedspreads of shiny and cold tones as they will not make you bedroom nice and cozy.

Two-sided bedspreads are very popular now. One side may be monochromatic, while the other is parti-colored. This allows you to constantly change your bedroom design by just turning the bedspread over. Keeping in stock a few bedspreads and mats for the floor you can change the design of your bedroom completely.

Many people prefer custom made bedspreads. This way you can get a unique bedspread which will suit your bedroom completely without wasting too much time.

The bedspread must be made of quality fabrics that do not cause allergies.

Bedspreads can be divided into the following types:

A regular bedspread or a plaid. The difference between them is not big because plaid is often referred to as a bedspread only of larger sizes. It cut out to suit the size of the bed; a natural lining fabric similar in color is used for the wrong side. Trimming is used as finishing.

A Bedspread with a frill. Such bedspread emphasizes romantic style of the bedroom. You can make absolutely any frills; the most important is not spare fabric for it and to use decorative trimming or lace along with frills.

Complex bedspread is made of several kinds of fabric using bows, frills and ruffles as decoration.

For lining it is better to use compound quality fabrics or natural cotton because polyester is slippery and glides on the bed.

Lace, satin ribbons give bedspread chic. The bedspread should be combined with several decorative pillows made of the same fabric.

If you want to give your bedroom a lavish look choose a bedspread of fleecy or satin fabrics. Creases on decorative pillows can be the same as the ones on the bedspread. In the classical style bedspreads with frills and ruffles are still in fashion.

Curtains must match bedspread and be made of the same or similar fabric. They must as well match the style and design of the bedroom including the wallpaper, furniture, etc.
